You have learned so much about our state, Colorado, this school year.  The United States can be divided into regions based on similar location.  Colorado is part of the western region which includes eleven states.  Each state has several cities that are important cultural, political or economic centers.  This matching game will help you know the western region states by matching important cities to its state.  Click on the link below to play.

Week 6: Using Music Safely and Legally

Music is amazing!  When added to your projects, music adds something special.  When using the musical creations of others, you must only use royalty free music.  Downloading and using the creations of others is a violation of copyright unless you have permission from the creator and you include a citation/attribution.  It’s always best to use your own creation when you can or a tool/app which includes musical/sound choices as part of the tool.  This video was created with pics from our school and the tool, Animoto.  Add a musical creation to your student blog and share with others.

Each student now has their own student blog which can be accessed from the side bar on the right side of the blog.  Student blogs are customized with a selected theme and named with a student created blog name.  Using a pen name for the blog keeps student information private.  Our challenge this week is to share information about what school is like at our site using both a written post and an added visual.  There’s a sample below.  Please check out our student blogs and leave a comment using our comment guidelines.

Our week #3 challenge required student to locate and use an image legally and safely.  Students used royalty free sites to select their image or created one of their own.  Poems and other written works were added to each student image.  Students also created a citation for their borrowed images to demonstrate original ownership.  We hope you enjoy our creative work.

Welcome to your brand new blog at Edublogs!  We will be using our blog to share our learning and also as a place to post our digital creations in support of our classroom learning.  We will learn how to create a post, how to share multi-media presentations and, best of all, reflect on many topics.  Our blog will be used by all the students in our fourth grade dual class.  You will also be posting in both English and Spanish to share with your classmates.  Some of you may even earn your own blog which you will love.
